Fashion Designer
Yuka (有伽)

Born and based in Tokyo, Yuka is a fashion creator. Taking advantage of her experience and skill as a designer, pattern maker, seamstress and model, she can create custom designed clothes.

Yuka graduated from Yokohama College of Fashion Design and Sugino Fashion College, also attending London College of Fashion as part of her studies.

It was during her stay in London that she was able to experience and learn new styles of fashion that changed her life. The huge diversity in designs and ideas only added to her love and respect for the beauty of Japanese culture and lead her to develop a stronger passion and unique perspective that is evident in her work.

It is the culmination of her experiences with life, work and different cultures that allows Yuka to express her original creations as "cross border". Her designs have been described as "fashion beyond boundary and categories".

Yuka prides herself on having a unique ability to draw out the best of one’s inner-self and express who they are into the clothes she makes. Her talents and designs are sought after by many artists and performers.

Some examples of Yuka's work can be seen in costumes she created for Japan's top television music program, as well as world heritage events in Japan, music festivals. Her designs go beyond fashion, including being offered the opportunity to decorate the historical "One-Hundred-Step Staircase" at the famous Meguro Gajoen hotel.

Yuka also established her own brand, “Shiki”, which is based on her sense of Japanese beauty and cross-border creations.

Yuka's work has been featured in fashion media outlets such as Vogue Italy online and on television by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation), which introduced her original designs and creative identity to a wider audience.
