I was in charge of designing and creating the costumes for the theme song “Starlight” of the Fuji TV’s drama “Ichikei no Karasu”.
Since the drama is about a courtroom involving a judge as the protagonist, the main motif of the design was the contemporary judicial robe (the black robe worn by judges in court).
This is the representative music video for WagakkiBand, which has surpassed 150 million views on YouTube. I was in charge of the costume for the vocalist, Yuko, and used a red kimono as the base, combining Japanese elegance and rock elements in the design. I also subtly incorporated cherry blossoms around the collar.
This project, which began when Yuka appeared on a radio show with confectioner Ichikawamizuho, involves creating costumes inspired by actual cakes and sweets and linking them with the design for photo shoots.

These are the costumes for a special live performance at Osaka Castle Hall, featuring a full orchestra and Grammy Award-winning singer Amy Lee(Evanescence) as a guest. The design is formal wear with a discreet touch of Japanese elements and was later used in the “月下美人(Queen of the night)” music video.
The exhibition was held at the “百段階段(Hundred Steps Staircase)” a historic building and designated tangible cultural property of Tokyo, located within Hotel Gajoen Tokyo, as part of the event. The works were created for this exhibition using wedding attire that was actually used at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo and provided by this hotel.
